BMI Method
Calculates ideal weight using BMI 22 as standard. Formula: 22 × height(m)². This is the WHO recommended healthy BMI value.
Broca Method
A simple formula commonly used in Europe. Male: (height-100) × 0.9; Female: (height-100) × 0.85. Simple but less precise.
Robinson Method
Proposed by Robinson in 1983. Male: 52 + 1.9 × (height in inches - 60); Female: 49 + 1.7 × (height in inches - 60). An imperial-based formula.
Miller Method
Proposed by Miller in 1983. Male: 56.2 + 1.41 × (height in inches - 60); Female: 53.1 + 1.36 × (height in inches - 60). Suitable for larger-framed individuals.
